Our last day in Ho Chi Minh

John picked up Madison’s passport today, so tomorrow morning we are off to Hanoi to finish our VISA paperwork and then we are free to bring our baby girl home…FINALLY!

I spent most of the day trying to figure out how I was going to get everything back into our suitcases. I really wished my sister was here. She did such a great job packing us up to fly over.

Speaking of sisters…Samantha - notice the bib? I also want to give a shout out to Jen’s sister, Alison. Hey Alison! Thanks for following the blog. I thought you might like to see some pictures of your niece. Addison is the most adorable little girl. At dinner tonight we were discussing that Addison is a leader and Madison is a follower. We came up with a whole make believe story about how Addison would play weak and feeble for the nannies and then when they weren’t looking, she would try to lead a baby revolt in the orphanage…ooops – I mean the “summer camp” as your Mom insists we call it.

Addison and Madison were so good at dinner tonight. When we got back to the hotel, I took pictures of both girls and then Addison showed me how she crawls like a crab on her hands and feet…she doesn’t put her knees on the ground. I was laughing so hard it was difficult to take pics. It’s so amazing that Addison is three weeks younger than Maddie and she already crawls, stands up and is trying to scoot along anything she can hold herself up on. Maddie can’t even sit up unassisted. Each tiny little girl has such a big personality. Jen and I are so lucky to be their Mommies.

We also found out today that we will be flying together from Hanoi to Taiwan to Los Angeles together, so the girls will become American citizens together in the LA airport.

Well, I need to get some sleep because our plane leaves early tomorrow. Enjoy the photos!

Hi all,
Marlo - the pix are wonderful. What a great photographer you are becoming - talk about a second job!!
The girls are simply beautiful!
It sounds like you are making the best of everything, chomping at the bit, and waiting to finally get home.
Hang in there - couple more days and your wonderful family will be together!
Spoke with Sam yesterday. What a trooper she is. Told her you owed her a BIG shopping trip - look out - Old Navy, here we come!!!

Stay well, see you soon.
Love to you, John, Sam, Codi, Carter and Madison.

Thanks for the shout out! This is Jen's sister, I was dying laughing. I've gotta tell you it's just as exciting seeing the pictures of Madison as it is seeing the ones of Addison. I know it's been a long road for everyone. They are very lucky girls to have such loving new families and I couldn't be happier for you guys. Thanks for the pictures especially with Addison's funny crawl...Crabby Addy. Alison

Hey guys, sorry I did not get a chance to reply to yesterdays news. Tell John not to feel bad, I'd probably try some weird stuff to if I were out of the country. You don't get that chance everyday. Hey give it the old college try and then go to the good ole sandby kfc. Sounds like a good plan. Hey if all else fails you could eat some of those fish. They look pretty meaty. lol
The pictures are addorable as usual.
I see you guys are leaving tomorrow, now I know your ahead by 19hrs but that should only put you at Tuesday. So are you coming home a day or so early or are you having to stay in Hanoi for a day?
Either way we are excited to see you guys and the baby.
Also she'll fit right in line with Cade and Marissa as Cade likes to lead the group and then sissy follows behind. So I'm sure they'll be more than happy to have another culprit to help run decoy.

See ya soon
